External Sales Rep & Key Account Manager – FMCG

About the role

Belmar Personnel is looking for an experienced External Sales Representative / Key Account Manager to drive growth with national retail customers in the FMCG sector. You will be responsible for building strong relationships, negotiating terms, and delivering profitable sales across major pharmacy and grocery chains.

Key responsibilities

• Manage key retail accounts such as Dis‑Chem, Shoprite, Checkers, Pick n Pay and Clicks.
• Develop annual business plans, negotiate pricing, promotions and trading agreements.
• Plan, execute and evaluate promotional campaigns.
• Analyse sales, market and customer data to identify opportunities.
• Prepare forecasts, budgets and detailed account reports.
• Maintain retailer portals with accurate information.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Marketing and Finance to ensure plan execution.
• Resolve customer queries and monitor competitor activity.
• Achieve sales, profit and growth targets.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, Sales or related field (preferred).
• 3–5 years of Key Account Management experience in FMCG.
• Proven track record with major retail accounts.
• Strong understanding of retail trading terms and promotional planning.
• Valid driver’s licence.
