External Sales Development Coordinator – Plastic Manufacturing

A well‑established plastic manufacturing company is looking to appoint an External Sales Development Coordinator to drive business growth and strengthen client relationships. The role suits a proactive, target‑driven individual with a strong track record in new business development.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities to grow revenue.
• Develop and implement strategies to expand the customer base.
• Analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify gaps and opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients.
• Present and promote products, including technical demonstrations where required.
• Assist customers with product selection and provide detailed product information.
• Contribute to improving customer satisfaction and retention strategies.
• Represent the company professionally as a brand ambassador.
• Engage with clients both on‑site and off‑site on a regular basis.

Required profile

• Matric plus a 3‑year National Diploma in Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a sales or marketing role within a plastic manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in new business development (non‑negotiable).
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven negotiation and closing ability.
• Results‑driven with a hunter mindset.
• Customer‑focused with the ability to identify and respond to client needs.
• Confident presenter with strong influencing skills.
• High attention to detail and solid numerical ability.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
