Expert Solutions Architect (Full Stack) – Gauteng/Hybrid

About the role

Our client seeks an Expert Solutions Architect to join a global IT hub and drive a Zero Trust enterprise transformation. The role covers end‑to‑end full‑stack architecture, from requirements and API design to backend services (Java & Node.js), responsive Angular interfaces and AWS cloud deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical direction across the full lifecycle, including architectural design, data modeling, coding, testing and production operations.
• Design, build and maintain backend micro‑services in Java (Spring Boot) and Node.js, defining API contracts, versioning and GraphQL schemas.
• Develop responsive, developer‑facing UI applications using Angular and TypeScript.
• Embed Zero Trust security patterns, threat modelling, error handling, retries and observability (logs, traces, metrics) throughout the platform.
• Collaborate with initiative leads and engineering peers to shape road‑maps, ensure architectural integrity and deliver incremental value in Agile sprints.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 + years of full‑stack development experience with proven expertise in Java (Spring Boot) and Node.js.
• Strong background in Angular, TypeScript and modern JavaScript for building responsive interfaces.
• Experience designing RESTful and GraphQL APIs, event‑driven architectures and working with both NoSQL (MongoDB) and relational SQL databases.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS native services (Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, API Gateway, IAM) and CI/CD automation (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
