Experienced Miner – Secunda, South Africa

About the role

Sasol is seeking experienced underground coal miners to join its Secunda operations. The role involves leading crews, ensuring production targets are met, and maintaining the highest safety standards in a dynamic mining environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage crew performance to achieve daily production targets and oversee training.
• Conduct safety drills, inspections, risk assessments and ensure compliance with legal and operational safety requirements.
• Identify training needs, coach team members, and monitor performance to address non‑conformances.
• Represent the Shift Boss in meetings, drive continuous improvement, and manage resources to minimise production disruptions.

Required profile

• National Senior Certificate or Full N3 with Maths and English/Business English.
• Minimum 2 years of underground coal mining experience.
• Valid blasting, gas‑testing, flame‑proof certificates and a driver’s licence.
