Experienced Housekeeper - Luxury Hospitality (Franschhoek)

About the role

Pick Me Recruitment is recruiting, on behalf of its client, an experienced housekeeper for a luxury hospitality portfolio in Franschhoek. The role suits someone who is flexible, able to multitask at a faster-than-average pace and who pays close attention to detail with strong organisational skills. Candidates must live in the local vicinity of Franschhoek.

Key responsibilities

• Keep hotel rooms and communal guest areas clean and tidy
• Perform turndown and general housekeeping services to ensure a seamless guest stay
• Meet and exceed guests' expectations from arrival to departure
• Communicate guests' special requests clearly and make sure all departments meet them
• Deliver exceptional service and think outside the box to make each stay memorable
• Maintain health and safety standards

Required profile

• At least 2 years of housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel or similar
• Matric certificate or equivalent preferred
• Good communication skills in English
• High level of physical endurance
• Ability to work shifts, including night shift
• Preference for candidates living in Franschhoek and neighbouring areas; South African citizens or permanent residents only, no work permit applications accepted

Required skills

• Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques and methods
• Ability to follow SOP standards
• Excellent timekeeping and attention to detail
• Calm, professional behaviour under pressure and impeccable grooming
