Experienced Financial Adviser – Johannesburg

About the role

Old Mutual Personal Financial Advice is looking for an experienced Financial Adviser to join its Johannesburg team. You will work directly with clients, providing personalised financial planning, investment advice and compliance guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain client relationships through prospecting, networking and referrals.
• Conduct comprehensive financial needs analyses and recommend appropriate Old Mutual products.
• Deliver advice using the company’s 6‑step planning process.
• Ensure compliance with FAIS regulations, internal processes and relevant legislation.
• Keep CPD points up to date and stay informed on economic, political and regulatory developments.
• Achieve sales targets and contribute to the growth of the practice.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) certificate.
• Minimum 18 months experience in financial services (sales, client service or advisory).
• Regulatory Examination (RE5) completed or in progress, with CPD compliance.
• Valid driver’s licence, own vehicle, and clear criminal and credit record.
• Strong communication, analytical and planning abilities.
• Passion for helping clients and confidence to consult and influence.
