Experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurse

About the role

The Life Bayview Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specialised in Cath Lab procedures. Reporting to the Theatre Unit Manager, you will support the surgical team to deliver safe, high‑quality patient care throughout the peri‑operative period.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the surgical team during Cath Lab procedures and ensure accurate theatre clocking for financial management.
• Manage consignment stock, equipment and prostheses in line with hospital policy, including regular stock‑taking.
• Maintain and operate theatre equipment and instrumentation correctly.
• Obtain pre‑operative information, provide post‑operative patient visits, and ensure patient comfort.
• Adhere to SHEQ standards by using personal protective equipment, complying with ISO requirements and disposing of medical waste safely.
• Foster effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, attending review meetings and escalating unresolved issues.

Required profile

• Experience in operating nursing, ICU or Cath Lab environments.
• Clinical competence in operating theatre nursing (ICU or Cath Lab).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Understanding of the private healthcare industry is advantageous.
• Computer proficiency is a plus.
