Executive Project Manager – Customer Projects

About the role

The Executive Project Manager will lead the Customer Projects department, overseeing the full lifecycle of client‑focused projects from contract hand‑over to final delivery. Reporting to senior leadership, this role ensures projects meet contractual, technical, quality and revenue targets while supporting the company’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Project Managers to deliver customer projects on time and within budget.
• Drive planning excellence, execution discipline, risk management and continuous improvement across the project portfolio.
• Convert project backlog into revenue‑generating deliveries, supporting quarterly and annual targets.
• Monitor portfolio performance, forecast revenue, and proactively manage risks, issues and opportunities.
• Provide hands‑on leadership for high‑risk or complex projects, resolving technical, operational or contractual challenges.
• Coordinate cross‑functional task teams to remove execution barriers and protect customer commitments.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading project management teams in an industrial or defence environment.
• Strong understanding of contract management, technical specifications and quality standards.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large, high‑value and high‑risk customer projects.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
