Executive Chef – Lead Culinary Team

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Executive Chef to head our kitchen operations in Cape Town. The successful candidate will inspire the culinary team, maintain high food quality, and ensure a memorable dining experience for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop the culinary team.
• Oversee daily kitchen operations, food production and menu creation.
• Maintain consistent food quality, presentation and portion control.
• Manage stock controls, rotation, inventory and supplier relationships.
• Control food costs, budgets and operational expenses.
• Uphold hygiene, food safety standards and kitchen cleanliness.
• Coordinate special events and collaborate on culinary concepts with management.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Executive Chef, Head Chef or senior culinary leader (3+ years).
• Professional culinary qualification preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Integrity, proactive attitude and passion for creating outstanding food.
