Execution Trader – Investment Platform

About the role

The Execution Trader will support efficient trade execution and help strengthen Anchor Capital's trading capability. The role sits within a growing investment platform in Mauritius and works closely with the Group's trading team in South Africa, offering exposure to a professional buy‑side environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute trades across multiple asset classes including equities, fixed income, funds, FX and other instruments.
• Monitor open orders, provide status updates to portfolio managers and address trade‑related queries.
• Manage relationships with dealers, custodians and counterparties, ensuring accurate trade capture, allocation and settlement.
• Perform pre‑ and post‑trade checks, reconcile trades and resolve execution or settlement breaks.
• Identify and escalate trading and operational risks, contribute to process improvements and support compliance activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or a related field.
• 1‑2 years of experience in a trading or investment environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and French.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Ethical standards, integrity and willingness to support trading across international market hours.

Required skills

• Proficiency with trading platforms such as Iress, TradingView and Bloomberg.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel for trade compilation, data processing and record‑keeping.
