Events Sales Consultant – Johannesburg

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Events Sales Consultant to join our team in Johannesburg. The role combines strong sales expertise with solid administrative abilities to drive event bookings and ensure seamless execution.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and respond to all incoming event enquiries (corporate, weddings, private functions)
• Conduct professional venue site inspections and client consultations
• Prepare accurate quotations, proposals, and costings
• Convert leads into confirmed bookings and achieve sales targets
• Maintain detailed and organised administrative records
• Work with budgets, pricing structures, and event costing
• Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth event execution
• Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales, preferably within the events or hospitality industry
• Strong administrative background with close attention to detail
• Excellent numerical skills and confidence working with budgets and costing
• Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets
• Strong communication and client engagement skills
• Highly organised and able to manage multiple enquiries simultaneously
• Own reliable transport (essential)

Required skills

• CRM (Go High Level) system experience (preferred)
• Event or venue sales experience (preferred)
