ERP Support Consultant – Information Technology

About the role

Our client, a leading South African ERP software provider, is seeking an experienced ERP Support Consultant to deliver first‑ and second‑line support, assist with implementations and provide training to customers in the retail, wholesale, warehousing, distribution and automotive sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑ and second‑line ERP software support, troubleshoot issues and ensure resolution within agreed service levels.
• Assist with ERP implementations, gather requirements, configure the system and deliver user training.
• Analyse business processes, create functional specifications and liaise with development teams on enhancements.
• Manage a portfolio of client accounts, handle quotations, renewals and identify opportunities to improve system utilisation.
• Prepare support and implementation reports, maintain project documentation and track outstanding issues.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or equivalent; BCom, Diploma or similar qualification in Business, Information Systems, Accounting or Supply Chain.
• 3–5 years experience supporting or implementing ERP solutions for retail, wholesale, warehousing, distribution or automotive businesses.
• Strong understanding of inventory, purchasing, sales, accounting and warehousing processes.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Afrikaans is an advantage.

Required skills

• Intermediate Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Basic networking knowledge (workstation and printer configuration).
• Ability to read program source code.
• Knowledge of Universe Database (U2) is advantageous.
