About the role
Mafube Local Municipality is implementing the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) across four towns. The municipality seeks 63 participants to work on community‑based tasks for a period of nine months, receiving a daily stipend of R135.
Key responsibilities
- Waste collection, transportation and disposal.
- Grass cutting in municipal areas.
- Participation in all waste‑related activities.
- Maintenance of parks and open areas.
- Maintenance of storm‑water drains.
- Any other lawful duties assigned by the supervisor.
Required profile
- Unemployed and unskilled individuals aged 18 years or older (including women, men, youth and people with disabilities).
- Minimum qualification: ABET Level 4/Grade 9 or equivalent.
- Must be physically fit.
- Must not have previously participated in the Municipal EPWP or CWP programme.
What we offer
- Daily stipend of R135.
- Fixed nine‑month engagement.
