EPC Procurement & Cost Control Manager (Midrand)

About the role

The Procurement & Cost Control Manager will lead all procurement, commercial and cost‑control activities for EPC projects, ensuring value for money, regulatory compliance and strong financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enforce procurement strategies, policies and procedures.
• Manage end‑to‑end procurement cycles: tendering, evaluation, negotiation and contract award.
• Oversee supplier qualification, performance monitoring and relationship management.
• Track project budgets, commitments, costs and expenditures; prepare estimates, forecasts and cost reports.
• Conduct cost analysis, variance reporting and identify cost‑saving or value‑engineering opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, company policies and relevant regulations.
• Lead, mentor and develop the procurement and cost‑control team.
• Provide regular management reports and stakeholder updates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years procurement/cost‑control experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Proven experience in EPC, infrastructure or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of procurement, contract management and cost‑control principles.
• High integrity, attention to detail and excellent analytical and negotiation abilities.
