Entry-Level CNC Technician

About the role

DADO Creations, a leading South African manufacturer of premium bathroom products, is seeking an entry‑level CNC Technician to join its Pretoria production team. The successful candidate will ensure the reliable operation of CNC production equipment, tackling fault‑finding and technical challenges across electrical, electronic, mechanical and automated systems.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults on CNC machinery and related equipment.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on CNC machines.
• Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, mechanical and pneumatic systems.
• Minimise machine downtime through efficient fault finding and repairs.
• Assist with machine installations, upgrades and commissioning.
• Carry out routine inspections and scheduled maintenance.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Liaise with machine suppliers for advanced technical support.
• Maintain maintenance records and spare‑parts inventory.
• Collaborate with production teams to maximise machine availability.
• Identify continuous‑improvement opportunities to boost reliability.

Required profile

• Qualification or student status in Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining CNC machinery.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault‑finding abilities.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and technical documentation.
• Good understanding of industrial automation systems.
• Computer literacy and a valid driver’s licence.
• Analytical, hands‑on, organised, calm under pressure and committed to quality workmanship.
