Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary - Surgical

About the role

The Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary – Surgical will deliver safe, basic nursing care in line with the Scope of Practice at Mediclinic Vergelegen. This on‑site, permanent role works within a multidisciplinary team to support patient safety and a therapeutic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver basic nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Identify, prevent and report risks to ensure patient safety.
• Assist in creating a positive patient experience and therapeutic environment.
• Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
• Participate in building staff competence through a learning environment.
• Ensure accurate charting of all utilised stock and equipment.

Required profile

• Higher certificate in nursing (or equivalent).
• Desirable: 1 year post‑qualification experience.

Required skills

• Infection prevention and control.
• Basic Life Support.
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office).
• Knowledge of regulations regarding the Scope of Practice for Nurses and Midwives.
• Familiarity with relevant nursing legislation.
• Scientific nursing process.
• Risk identification.

• Patient observation skills.
