Enrolled Nurse Specialist NNICU

About the role

A vacancy exists for an Enrolled Nurse Specialist – NNICU, reporting to the Unit Manager. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality patient care within a neonatal intensive care environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure nursing activities comply with SANC regulations, relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
• Maintain health, safety and infection‑control standards to provide a safe patient environment.
• Utilise resources effectively and maintain equipment in good working order.
• Accurately record patient information and educate patients and families.
• Build effective relationships with patients, doctors and other medical personnel to support quality care.

Required profile

• Qualified Enrolled Nurse with registration on the SANC register.
• Relevant experience working in a NNICU setting.
• Ability to work shifts according to hospital operational requirements.
• Understanding of the private healthcare industry and its challenges (advantageous).
• Computer proficiency (advantageous) and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with private practice and ability to provide competency assessments if employed via an agency.
