Enrolled Nurse – On-site

About the role

The Enrolled Nurse will provide safe, quality nursing care in line with the Scope of Practice at Mediclinic Klein Karoo, Oudtshoorn. The role involves working closely with a multi‑disciplinary team to ensure patient safety and a positive experience.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with the multi‑disciplinary team.
• Identify, prevent and report risks to ensure patient safety.
• Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment.
• Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
• Participate in creating a learning environment that builds staff competence.
• Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged.

Required profile

• Enrolled Nurse Certificate (essential).
• No prior experience required (essential).
• Preference for up to 1 year post‑qualification experience in a specialised unit.

Required skills

• Basic life support trained.
• Infection prevention and control.
• Pharmacology knowledge.
• Scientific nursing principles and processes.
• Patient assessment skills.
• Nursing processes and procedures.
• Computer literate – Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of relevant nursing legislation.
• Nursing care plan development.
• Risk identification.
