About the role

The Enrolled Nurse will deliver high‑quality nursing care to patients in accordance with the South African Nursing Council’s scope of practice. Working within a multidisciplinary team, the nurse ensures accurate documentation, safe medication administration, and a clean therapeutic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure its availability.
• Manage stock, ensuring proper charging, control, and inventory.
• Observe and promote employee safety and adhere to medical waste management protocols.
• Clean, store, and report on equipment, noting any repairs or risks.
• Implement infection‑control practices to maintain a safe clinical setting.
• Measure, interpret, record and report vital signs.
• Perform wound dressing, removal of sutures and clips.
• Assist doctors and professional nurses as required.
• Collect laboratory specimens and update registers.
• Administer injections, including family‑planning and IV infusions.
• Issue and record chronic medication and compile daily observation data.

Required profile

• National Senior Certificate.
• Certificate in Enrolled Nursing.
• Registration with the South African Nursing Council as an Enrolled Nurse.
• 2–3 years of proven experience as an Enrolled Nurse.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office / Office 365.
