Enrolled Nurse – Medical/Surgical Ward

About the role

The Enrolled Nurse will provide direct and indirect nursing care on a medical/surgical ward at Netcare Margate Hospital. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will contribute to high‑quality patient care and support the ward’s therapeutic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in line with the scope of practice and the care plan established by the Registered Nurse.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and ensure proper stock management.
• Support governance, quality and risk management by keeping the environment safe and reporting hazards.
• Ensure correct use, cleaning and storage of medical equipment and report any repair needs.
• Supervise Enrolled Nursing Assistants (ENAs) and uphold professional conduct and patient confidentiality.

Required profile

• Registered Enrolled Nurse qualification.
• Ability to work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Accountability for personal actions and omissions.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean and therapeutic ward environment.
