Enrolled Nurse – ICU2 (Full‑time)

About the role

The Enrolled Nurse will provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients in the ICU2 unit, working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This full‑time position is based at Netcare's Umhlanga facility and focuses on delivering safe, high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and ensure proper stock charging.
• Support governance, quality, and risk management by keeping the environment safe and reporting hazards.
• Manage equipment use, cleaning, storage, and report any repair needs.
• Uphold professional conduct, patient confidentiality, and hospital policies at all times.
• Deliver patient care within the Enrolled Nurse scope of practice, including infection prevention and standard precautions.
• Participate in handovers, ward quality‑improvement programmes, and supervise ENA staff.
• Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and the multidisciplinary team.

Required profile

• Registered Enrolled Nurse qualification.
• Ability to work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Accountability for personal actions and omissions.
• Commitment to maintaining a therapeutic, clean, and safe environment.
