Enrolled Nurse - High Care

About the role

The Enrolled Nurse – High Care will provide safe, quality nursing care in a specialised high‑care environment, adhering to the professional Scope of Practice. Working within Mediclinic Kloof, the role supports patients through comprehensive clinical interventions and collaborative teamwork.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with the multi‑disciplinary team.
• Identify, prevent and report risks to ensure patient safety.
• Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment.
• Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
• Participate in creating a learning environment that builds staff competence.
• Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged.

Required profile

• Enrolled Nurse Certificate (essential education).
• No minimum experience required; 1 year post‑qualification experience preferred for specialised unit.

Required skills

• Basic life support trained.
• Infection prevention and control knowledge.
• Pharmacology knowledge.
• Scientific nursing principles and processes.
• Patient assessment skills.
• Nursing processes and procedures.
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
