Enrolled Nurse – Emergency Department

About the role

The Enrolled Nurse will provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department of Netcare Sunninghill Hospital. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will contribute to high‑quality, safe patient care in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care according to the scope of practice and the care plan initiated by the Registered Nurse.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation for all patient interactions.
• Manage medication administration, vital‑sign monitoring and basic wound care.
• Ensure proper stock control, equipment cleaning, and report any repair needs.
• Support a therapeutic, clean and safe environment, adhering to waste‑management and occupational safety policies.
• Act as a supervisory point of contact for Enrolled Nursing Assistants (ENAs) when required.

Required profile

• Registered Enrolled Nurse qualification recognised in South Africa.
• Ability to work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and take accountability for personal actions.
• Commitment to patient confidentiality and professional conduct.
• Willingness to adhere to hospital policies, governance, quality and risk‑management procedures.
