Enrolled Nurse – Emergency Centre

About the role

The Emergency Centre is seeking an Enrolled Nurse to deliver safe, high‑quality nursing care in line with the professional Scope of Practice. The role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team to support patients presenting with urgent health needs.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with the multi‑disciplinary team.
• Identify, prevent and report risks to ensure patient safety.
• Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment.
• Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
• Participate in creating a learning environment that builds staff competence.
• Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged.

Required profile

• Enrolled Nurse Certificate (essential).
• CPD courses in specific speciality areas are desirable for specialised wards.
• No prior experience required; 1 year post‑qualification experience is desirable for specialised units.

Required skills

• Basic life support trained.
• Infection prevention and control.
• Pharmacology knowledge.
• Scientific nursing principles and processes.
• Patient assessment skills.
• Nursing processes and procedures.
• Computer literate – Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of relevant nursing legislation.
• Nursing care plan development.
• Risk identification.
