About the role

The Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary provides direct and indirect nursing care to patients on Ward E under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will be responsible for patient wellbeing, equipment handling, and maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment.

Key responsibilities

Maintain a clean, safe ward free from medico‑legal hazards and adhere to waste‑management protocols.
Monitor and record patient vital signs and execute procedures according to hospital standards.
Control stock, ensure proper cleaning, storage and reporting of equipment needing repair.
Uphold patient confidentiality and participate in handover reports.
Promote infection‑prevention practices and standard precautions.

Required profile

Registered with the South African Nursing Council as an Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary.
Compliance with SANC Scope of Practice and relevant health legislation.
Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification (preferred).
Relevant experience in nursing discipline (preferred).

Required skills

CPR/BLS certification and competence.
Ability to monitor and interpret vital signs.
