Enrolled Nurse | Auxiliary (2) | High Care

About the role

The High Care Unit at Life Hilton Private Hospital is seeking two Enrolled Nurse Auxiliaries to join the team. Reporting to the ICU/HC Unit Manager, the successful candidates will deliver high‑quality patient care in line with company standards and South African nursing legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in quality management programmes, complete monthly evaluator cards and attend ward meetings.
• Maintain infection‑control and safety standards, and ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment.
• Accurately manage stock, report patient discharges or transfers, and record fluid intake.
• Provide patient hygiene, comfort and safety according to the nursing care plan.
• Support surgical and diagnostic procedures and assist other departments as needed.

Required profile

• Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• Experience working in a High Care or similar acute care setting.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel between sites.
• Strong problem‑solving, resilience and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of infection‑control and safety standards.
