English Audio Transcription – Remote (South Africa)

About the role

We are looking for native or near‑native English speakers to help improve AI models by accurately transcribing short audio clips. This is a fully remote position based in South Africa, offering flexible scheduling so you can work whenever it suits you.

Key responsibilities

• Listen to 5‑second English audio recordings and transcribe them verbatim.
• Label and flag any audio issues such as background noise, cut‑offs, or unclear speech.
• Follow provided transcription guidelines for punctuation, formatting, and audio tagging.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native proficiency in English.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent written language skills.
• Ability to work independently with a reliable internet connection.

Required skills

• No specific technical tools are required; a basic computer and internet access are sufficient.

What we offer

• Compensation of $12.50 per hour.
