Engineering Technician – Roads & Storm Water Township Development

About the role

The City of Tshwane is seeking an Engineering Technician to support the evaluation and finalisation of township development, alienation and lease applications, and service agreements related to roads and storm‑water infrastructure. The role involves ensuring compliance with town‑planning legislation and municipal standards while promoting operational improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating and finalising township development applications concerning roads and storm‑water services.
• Assist in evaluating and finalising alienation and lease applications for municipal properties.
• Support the compilation and assessment of service reports and service agreements.
• Evaluate development compliance with approval conditions at various stages.
• Provide building plan services as required and promote operational improvements.

Required profile

• Three‑year tertiary qualification (degree or national diploma) in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience in civil‑engineering infrastructure planning or provision.
• Valid Code B driving licence.
• Must undergo a criminal record check and provide fingerprints at own cost.
