Engineering Project Manager – Operations Engineering (AMET)

About the role

Join a team of builders responsible for expanding and upgrading Amazon’s network across the Africa, Middle East and Turkey (AMET) region. You will lead end‑to‑end delivery of automation, material handling, storage and goods‑lift systems for new and retrofit facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop operational site designs using CAD, influence building selection and size, and define required technologies.
• Own the full project lifecycle for MHE, storage and goods‑lift systems, from concept to Go‑Live.
• Secure and manage a $50 MM budget, run RFPs, select vendors, and benchmark cost efficiency with finance.
• Integrate systems with building shell, MEP, and IT utilities, coordinating closely with pre‑construction teams.
• Build business cases for retrofit projects, ensuring financial viability and minimal operational disruption.
• Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and ensure quality, safety, and schedule compliance.
• Act as the primary interface for internal and external stakeholders throughout the project.

Required profile

• Technical, ownership‑driven professional with experience delivering large‑scale engineering projects.
• Proven ability to manage greenfield and brownfield projects across fulfillment, sortation, delivery stations and quick‑commerce sites.
• Strong financial acumen to build business cases and manage multi‑million‑dollar budgets.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
