Embedded Software Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to develop firmware for advanced electronic products, focusing on radar, digital signal processing and sensor technologies. The role involves close collaboration with hardware teams and multidisciplinary engineers to deliver high‑performance embedded solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop embedded software for advanced electronic products.
• Design and implement solutions using C and C++.
• Create signal‑processing and data‑analysis algorithms.
• Support hardware integration and system‑level testing.
• Work with sensor‑based and communication‑based technologies.
• Contribute to software architecture, optimisation and product development.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Required profile

• 3‑10 years of embedded software engineering experience.
• Strong C and C++ programming skills.
• Experience with ARM Cortex, STM32 or similar platforms.
• DSP experience (advantageous).
• Radar systems experience (advantageous).
• Python, MATLAB or algorithm development experience (advantageous).
• Experience with sensing, tracking, RF or signal‑based technologies (beneficial).
• Background in aerospace, defence, radar or advanced electronics (highly desirable).
• BEng, BSc or BTech in Electronic, Electrical, Computer or Mechatronic Engineering.
• South African residency or valid work permit.
