Embedded Software Developer – Production

About the role

The company is looking for an Embedded Software Developer to join its production team in Pretoria-East. The role focuses on qualifying and industrialising products, bridging the gap between concept and production, and ensuring hardware reliability throughout the manufacturing process.

Key responsibilities

• Qualify products against specific technical requirements.
• Industrialise products to transition them from concept to full‑scale production.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive test‑tool suite and associated test jigs.
• Test, debug, and resolve production issues related to hardware failures.
• Serve as the liaison between the production team and hardware engineering groups.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing procedures and documentation.

Required profile

• BEng/BTech in Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering (recent graduate) or N6 in Electronic Engineering with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially advanced Excel skills.
• Experience in Python, C, and C++ programming and test‑jig development.
