Embedded Architect – Onsite (Centurion, Irene)

About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced Embedded Architect to take a hands‑on technical leadership role in the design and delivery of sophisticated embedded systems. This onsite opportunity is suited to an engineer who combines strong embedded C/C++ capability with proven experience taking products from concept through to production and field deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive embedded system architecture across hardware and software components.
• Lead design, development and integration of embedded systems while remaining hands‑on with C/C++ coding.
• Support hardware bring‑up, system integration, testing and debugging.
• Guide products through certification, production readiness and volume manufacturing.
• Collaborate with engineering, suppliers and certification stakeholders to resolve technical challenges.

Required profile

• BEng or BSc (Eng) in Electronic, Computer or Electrical Engineering (ECSA‑accredited or Washington Accord equivalent).
• 6–8 years of post‑graduate experience in embedded systems design, with at least 3 years in a senior or architectural role.
• Proven involvement in taking at least two embedded products from concept to volume production.
• Valid driver’s licence and South African citizenship.

What we offer

• Salary range R55,000 – R57,000 per month.
