Electronics Design Engineer – Power Electronics & BMS

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to join a fast‑growing technology and renewable‑energy company. The role focuses on designing and developing power‑electronics hardware, PCB assemblies, Battery Management Systems (BMS) and DC‑DC converters from concept through testing, validation and production release.

Key responsibilities

• Design multilayer PCBs for BMS and power‑conversion products using Altium Designer or Mentor Graphics/PADS.
• Develop analog, digital and mixed‑signal circuits, including buck, boost, flyback, forward and bridge DC‑DC topologies.
• Perform power‑stage calculations, magnetic component selection, thermal analysis and efficiency optimisation.
• Create BMS hardware for cell voltage, current and temperature monitoring, protection and balancing.
• Define testing and validation procedures, conduct prototype testing and troubleshoot faults.
• Support products through prototype, manufacturing and production release, collaborating with firmware, mechanical and electrical teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electronic product development and complex PCB design.
• Proven track record taking products from concept to production release, preferably in renewable‑energy or battery‑storage applications.

Required skills

• Altium Designer or Mentor Graphics/PADS.
• Design of SMPS, power semiconductors, magnetics, thermal management and EMI/EMC.
• Analog, digital and mixed‑signal circuit design.
• DC‑DC converter design (buck, boost, flyback, forward, bridge).
• Battery Management System hardware development.
• Use of oscilloscopes, logic analysers, power analysers and electronic loads.
