Electrician – Maintenance Department

About the role

Bravo Brands is looking for a qualified Electrician to join the Maintenance department of its Sleep Division in Johannesburg. The role is responsible for all electrical maintenance, installation and fault‑finding activities across the manufacturing plant, ensuring safe and reliable operation of equipment and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance, fault‑finding, repairs and inspections on factory machinery, equipment and installations.
• Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance to minimise breakdowns and unplanned downtime.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with legislation, regulations and company safety standards.
• Maintain electrical compliance documentation, certificates and inspection registers for portable appliances, emergency lighting, earth‑leakage protection and generators.
• Conduct infrared thermographic inspections and record identified faults for corrective action.
• Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns, applying lock‑out/tag‑out procedures and risk assessments.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections and compliance actions.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric – essential.
• N3 Electrical Engineering qualification.
• Valid Wireman’s License.
• Relevant experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
