Electrical Maintenance Operator – Grade 2

About the role

Sasol is seeking a Grade 2 Electrical Maintenance Operator to support the upkeep of electrical systems and equipment at its Secunda Operations site. You will operate electrical devices, collect field data, and ensure optimal productivity while adhering to the company’s safety and sustainability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Apply and maintain safety procedures in the work environment.
• Participate in root cause analyses and provide feedback to RCA teams.
• Execute planned maintenance tasks and report progress to supervisors.
• Attend daily morning meetings to discuss work assignments.
• Identify faults using appropriate methods to maintain equipment availability.
• Perform plant inspections, repairs, and equipment reliability checks.
• Maintain good housekeeping and follow waste disposal procedures.
• Attend training courses, toolbox talks, and PDAs to improve competency and plant safety.

Required profile

• Grade 12/N3 with Mathematics, Physical Science and English.
• CHIE TA NQF Level 2 (Electrical) qualification.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in electrical maintenance.
• Valid driver’s licence.
