Electrical Construction Supervisor

About the role

The Construction Supervisor Electrical is responsible for direct field supervision of electrical construction works, including substations, distribution systems and overhead power lines. The role supports the Construction Manager by coordinating daily work fronts, controlling hazards, verifying completed work and maintaining accurate site records.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily electrical and overhead power line construction activities, coordinating contractor crews, specialist plant, materials, access, outages and interfaces.
• Implement inspection and test requirements, support system completion, energisation, punch‑list close‑out and handover.
• Monitor installation quantities, tower or pole erection, conductor stringing, terminations, testing, productivity and progress against plan.
• Identify and control electrical and OHL hazards, including live‑system interfaces, induced voltages, working at height and public access risks.
• Ensure all construction activities comply with SHE requirements, approved controls and applicable legislation.

Required profile

• National Diploma, N Diploma, Trade Test or recognised technical qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant electrical construction experience on mining, infrastructure or heavy industrial projects, including site supervision of substations, power distribution and overhead power lines.
