Electrical Artisan Operative (Engineering)

About the role
We are looking for an Electrical Artisan Operative to join the Boshoek Smelter team in North West, South Africa. The role supports the engineering department by performing basic electrical repairs, assisting senior artisans, and ensuring plant reliability during standby periods.
Key responsibilities
- Assist senior artisans with routine and emergency tasks.
- Carry out basic electrical repairs and address equipment breakdowns.
- Perform standby duties and respond promptly to breakdown incidents.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, environment, community and housekeeping standards.
Required profile
- Grade 12 qualification with N3 electrical trade theory or equivalent technical qualification.
- Minimum two years experience as an Artisan Assistant or similar role.
- Ability to correctly identify and use a range of electrical tools.
- Good knowledge of HSEC (Health, Safety, Environment, Community) systems.
