Editorial Lead

About the role

The Editorial Lead will shape and deliver compelling stories that support Peace Parks Foundation’s strategic priorities. Working at the crossroads of editorial, media, digital and donor communications, you will ensure content is not only well‑written but also strategically aligned to achieve specific outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Peace Parks visibility calendar, planning and executing communications priorities, campaigns and announcements.
• Lead the editorial team, set standards, allocate work and mentor staff to meet quality and deadline expectations.
• Identify high‑value storytelling opportunities across the organisation and determine the most effective channels, formats and audiences.
• Develop narrative angles and package content for diverse platforms, including donor communications, digital media and visual storytelling.
• Collaborate with senior leadership, field teams and communications specialists to turn complex information into clear, engaging messages.
• Operate with a high degree of independence, reducing routine oversight from the Chief Communications Officer.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in editorial, journalism, public relations or strategic communications.
• Proven ability to craft strong narratives and adapt content for multiple audiences.
• Excellent writing and editorial judgement.
• Calm, structured leadership style with a coaching mindset.
• Ability to work collaboratively across a geographically dispersed, hybrid environment.
