EC&I Resident Engineer (12-month contract)

About the role

Our client, a leading engineering company, is looking for an EC&I Resident Engineer for a 12‑month contract in Pretoria. The role combines on‑site execution with the ability to work remotely within South Africa, focusing on project delivery and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Drive on‑site procedures and ensure project delivery while maintaining strict quality standards.
• Manage payment verifications and standard on‑site engineering controls.
• Provide technical oversight for Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation (EC&I) construction projects.
• Oversee and contribute to commissioning activities within EC&I disciplines.
• Utilise Autodesk software packages to streamline engineering workflows.

Required profile

• NDip, BTech or BEng/BSc in Electrical Engineering.
• 3–7 years of relevant engineering experience, with mandatory on‑site construction exposure.
• Willingness to be based on‑site and work remotely as required across South Africa.
