Driver – Safe Transport for Mining Operations

About the role

The driver will ensure safe, efficient and compliant transportation of goods, equipment and personnel to support uninterrupted supply‑chain continuity at mining and industrial sites. The role requires full vehicle readiness, professional representation of the company, and strict adherence to safety and site regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan routes and delivery schedules to optimise time and fuel usage.
• Conduct daily pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections and complete checklists.
• Secure all loads correctly and verify delivery documentation before departure.
• Act as the company’s on‑site representative, handling delivery notes, PODs and client interactions.
• Report any discrepancies, delays, breakdowns or safety incidents immediately.
• Monitor fuel consumption, vehicle cleanliness and service intervals.
• Comply with Mine Health & Safety Act requirements and participate in risk assessments.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of driving experience in a mining or industrial environment.
• Valid Code 10 driver’s licence with PDP (non‑negotiable).
• Residency in Rustenburg.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and maintain high accountability.

Required skills

• Code 10 driver’s licence with PDP.
• Knowledge of mine‑site driving requirements.
• Understanding of load‑securing principles.
• Basic mechanical awareness for early fault identification.
• Familiarity with compliance documentation such as PODs, logbooks and inspection sheets.
