Driver for Government Agency

About the role

The Radiation Protection Agency is seeking a reliable driver to support its daily operations in Maseru. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting staff, visitors and official documents while ensuring vehicles are well‑maintained and compliant with all regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate agency vehicles for official duties, ensuring safe transport of personnel and authorized goods.
• Deliver and collect official documents, mail, parcels and other items to designated locations.
• Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks, recording trips, fuel consumption and mileage.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections, keep vehicles clean, roadworthy and report any defects or accidents promptly.
• Assist with renewal of vehicle licences, insurance and other statutory requirements.
• Support logistical arrangements for meetings, workshops, inspections and other agency activities.
• Load, unload and transport equipment and supplies as required.
• Ensure compliance with road traffic regulations and agency transport policies.
• Perform any other duties assigned from time to time.

Required profile

• Minimum COSC/LGCSE or equivalent qualification.
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
• At least five years of professional driving experience.
• Good knowledge of road traffic laws and safe driving practices.
• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
• Experience in a government, statutory body or corporate environment is an advantage.
• High level of integrity, reliability and professionalism.
• Physically fit and able to undertake messenger and logistical duties.
• Willingness to work flexible hours when required.
