Domain Architect – Finance & Risk

About the role

Old Mutual’s OM Bank is looking for a senior Domain Architect to lead the architectural vision for its Finance and Risk domains. The role bridges business and IT, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, compliant and aligned with regulatory and enterprise standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain baseline and future‑state architecture for Finance and Risk, including road‑maps.
• Derisk the domain and achieve zero audit findings by translating policies into architectural guidelines.
• Design scalable, secure solutions using platforms such as Oracle Financial Services and lead API and micro‑service integration.
• Collaborate with DevOps, business leaders, IT teams and external vendors to ensure implementation integrity.
• Provide subject‑matter expertise in regulatory reporting, credit, market and operational risk, accounting and general ledger systems.
• Govern domain architecture artifacts, conduct architecture reviews and maintain a decision registry.
• Mentor system architects and developers and act as trusted advisor to the CFO and finance department.

Required profile

• 8–12 years of experience in banking or financial services, with at least 3 years in an architecture role.
• Deep knowledge of finance and risk processes, related systems and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to translate finance and risk policies into technical solutions.
