Document Specialist

About the role

Labourwise HR, a Durbanville‑based firm offering 24‑hour client services, is looking for a Document Specialist to join its team in Cape Town. The role focuses on producing high‑quality documents in a fast‑paced professional services environment, ensuring compliance with the company’s House Style and handling complex or corrupted files.

Key responsibilities

• Create, format, and finalize documents using company templates and standards.
• Manage lengthy or potentially corrupted files, ensuring accuracy and readability.
• Capture data, transcribe audio recordings, and perform secretarial duties as required.
• Maintain consistency across all documentation and support the team’s quality and efficiency goals.

Required profile

• Matric qualification with exceptional English language skills.
• Proven experience in document production within a professional services setting.
• Typing speed of at least 50 wpm with strong audio and copy‑typing abilities.
• Ability to work flexible shift patterns (e.g., 05:00‑14:00, 06:00‑15:00, 07:00‑16:00, or 08:00‑17:00).

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word (MOS Word Expert).
• Competence in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Visio, Adobe Writer, and DocX Tools.
• Experience with digital dictation equipment (Dictaphone).
