Divisional Manager – Sales Driven (General Manager & Exco)

About the role

The multinational group is seeking a senior leader to run its niche Wholesale Division, which serves both commercial and retail markets across South Africa and neighboring countries. The role reports to the corporate head office and works closely with local and overseas executives to drive sales, service and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and manage a small team of sales representatives, internal sales staff and administrators.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers, dealers and affiliates in Namibia, Botswana and Mozambique.
• Identify new business opportunities and drive growth across South Africa and the affiliate regions.
• Collaborate with business partners and sub‑contractors to deliver cost‑effective, service‑oriented solutions.
• Prepare business plans, budgets and investment proposals in line with group guidelines.
• Optimise stock levels, manage ageing inventory and ensure accurate forecasting and profitability reporting.
• Represent the division with industrial bodies, regulators, key customers and suppliers.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification such as B.Com, Marketing Diploma, Business Degree or Management qualification.
• Senior management experience, preferably in a multinational environment with matrix reporting.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, business development focus and ability to build high‑performing teams.
• Excellent negotiation, interpersonal and decision‑making skills.
• Self‑confident, assertive, results‑driven and able to resolve complex challenges.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Office proficiency.
