About the role
We are seeking an experienced Dispatch Supervisor for a leading meat and food distribution company in Cape Town. The role involves overseeing the dispatch process, ensuring cold‑chain compliance and maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and supervise delivery drivers to maintain an efficient and accurate dispatch workflow.
- Assist with daily route planning, trip sheets, invoices and structured loading schedules.
- Coordinate final order loading, verifying product quantities, weights and alignment with invoices.
- Rigorously check product quality, packaging, labeling, batch details and temperature controls to ensure food‑safety compliance.
Required profile
- Education: Grade 12/Matric; a qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain or Transportation Management is advantageous.
- Experience: Proven supervisory experience in dispatch, warehousing or logistics within food/meat distribution.
- Industry knowledge: Ability to enforce strict food‑safety and cold‑chain procedures under deadline pressure.
