Dispatch Supervisor

About the role

RiseUp Management is looking for an experienced Dispatch Supervisor to lead the daily dispatch operations in Durban. The role involves coordinating incoming and outgoing goods, planning delivery routes, and ensuring high‑quality customer service while adhering to company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the dispatch team.
• Receive, check, record and process incoming goods accurately.
• Complete Goods Received Vouchers (GRVs) and verify documentation.
• Plan and schedule local and long‑distance deliveries based on priorities, vehicle availability and route efficiency.
• Utilise knowledge of routes to minimise travel time and delays.
• Coordinate with drivers, warehouse staff and management to ensure timely and safe dispatch.
• Respond to customer queries and resolve delivery‑related issues professionally.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) with Mathematics.
• 2–3 years of experience in dispatch, logistics, warehouse or distribution.
• Strong computer literacy and experience with dispatch/administrative systems.
• Good knowledge of local and long‑distance routes.
• Experience in supervising a dispatch team.
• Excellent organisational, time‑management and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with dispatch and inventory management software.
