Disability Manager – Occupational Health

About the role

The Disability Manager will join a dynamic multidisciplinary occupational health team, focusing on the reintegration of functionally impaired employees. This role offers the chance to develop end‑to‑end disability management expertise within a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide occupational rehabilitation services and holistic health management for employees.
• Design and deliver educational campaigns on musculoskeletal injury and chronic disease prevention.
• Conduct ergonomic risk assessments, work‑process reviews, and physical ability analyses.
• Facilitate ill‑health, disability, incapacity, and return‑to‑work processes, including functional capacity evaluations.
• Develop, evaluate, and execute rehabilitation programmes and wellness projects.
• Prepare reports for disability insurers and ensure compliance with OHS legislation.
• Collaborate with production leaders and ergonomic safety committees.

Required profile

• University degree in Biokinetics or Occupational Therapy.
• Minimum three years of experience in rehabilitation, functional capacity assessment, and report writing.
• Experience managing incapacity and disability cases, designing return‑to‑work programmes, and conducting workplace ergonomic assessments.
• Prior exposure to a manufacturing environment and wellness event execution is advantageous.
• Training in AMA guides for impairment rating is a plus.
