Director Programme Management (Hybrid) – Johannesburg

About the role

We are seeking a Director of Programme Management to lead and expand our Urban Solutions practice in Johannesburg. The role is hybrid, allowing you to work both on‑site and remotely while advising governments and infrastructure authorities on complex rail, transport and urban projects.

Key responsibilities

• Build and scale the Urban Solutions practice across South Africa, Africa and the Middle East.
• Advise public‑sector clients on large‑scale infrastructure programmes with budgets exceeding R1 bn.
• Design programme structures, governance models and delivery approaches for rail, road and municipal projects.
• Lead complex client engagements and support the development of programme delivery capabilities.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years experience in infrastructure programme management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Professional certification such as PMP or PgMP.
• Proven track record delivering large‑scale transport, rail or urban development programmes, including PPP or other private‑sector delivery models.
