Director of Strategic Resource Mobilisation

About the role
The Director of Strategic Resource Mobilisation will lead the university’s efforts to secure and grow resources that support its transversal priorities. This senior position reports to the Vice‑Chancellor and works closely with senior leadership to drive international fundraising campaigns and commercialisation initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate prospecting, identification, engagement and follow‑up of resource mobilisation and advancement activities.
- Research, develop and present compelling proposals and applications for funding and strategic partnerships.
- Provide strategic support and planning for the Vice‑Chancellor and university leadership on international resource mobilisation initiatives.
- Lead the commercialisation strategy, working with university commercialisation vehicles to build a sustainable value chain.
- Network nationally and internationally to cultivate and steward relationships with funders and partners.
- Interface across university portfolios to strengthen internal mobilisation capacity and align with transformation imperatives.
Required profile
- M+4 qualification in a relevant field such as Commerce, Business Administration or Business Development.
- 6‑10+ years of experience in higher education or a similar environment, including at least 5 years in a management role.
- Proven experience in full‑cycle resource mobilisation, from cultivation to stewardship of funder relationships.
- Strong understanding of transformation priorities within the higher education sector.
