Director of Marketing

About the role

The Director of Marketing will act as the brand custodian for Cape Grace, a Fairmont Managed Hotel on Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront. Reporting to senior leadership, you will develop and execute an integrated marketing strategy that protects the property’s luxury positioning, drives commercial performance, and deepens guest relationships throughout the ownership journey.

Key responsibilities

• Approve all guest‑facing brand assets—including photography, film, copy, collateral, and tone of voice—to ensure consistency with Fairmont and Cape Grace standards.
• Own and evolve Cape Grace’s brand narrative, leveraging its waterfront setting, maritime heritage, and Cape culture.
• Lead earned media, public relations, and performance‑marketing initiatives that generate measurable commercial results.
• Collaborate closely with Sales and Revenue teams to align marketing activities with commercial goals.
• Manage storytelling across all channels, ensuring a cohesive luxury experience for guests.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in luxury hospitality or premium brand marketing.
• Strong track record of developing integrated marketing strategies that deliver commercial impact.
• Excellent judgment as a final approver of brand‑facing assets.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with sales, revenue, and operations teams.
